The mistake that costs most here
Underestimating the total cost is near-universal. Visa fees, the immigration health surcharge, the English test and legal help together come to a substantial sum before anyone has flown anywhere.

- Speak to two references who are not immediate family
- Insist on a live video call before any in-person meeting
